Project Description

Our nutritional habits, even if established early in life and appear natural to us, frequently include aspects that are not consistent with a healthy life-style. Food composition, combinations of foods and/or nutrients, timing of food ingestion, food choices at specific time points of the day, may have substantial impact on metabolism. Such information is retrieved and analysed along with individual biological and psychological data to allow effective design of nutritional strategies. Developing a nutritional strategy is an important dimension of a multidisciplinary approach for life-style management. Such strategies are shaped by information derived from complementary analyses, including general socioeconomic aspects, living environment characteristics, work-specific requirements, daily schedules and personal preferences.
