Project Description

Life-style changes require personal schedule modifications and a suitable living environment. The latter may require community-based measures, if appropriate facilities are not readily available. Alternatively, people would need to make relevant changes in their own micro-environment. Accordingly, community-related, work-related, psychological, time and financial constraints may compromise the ability of an individual to follow medical directions and make the necessary life-style changes. The implementation of a specific health plan may fail if such issues have not been taken into account and carefully addressed during the design of  a personalized life-style modification program. Thus a detailed assessment of  psychological dimensions and of the more “logistic” aspects of an individual’s life is necessary prior to designing a life-style modification strategy.
